Here are a few steps to take to help manage your dental emergency:
1. Call your dentist if you are not sure what to do. See above phone numbers.

2. If you are not sure what to do, and you can not reach your dentist, call your general doctor or your local hospital for advise. They may advise you to come in to see them.

3. If you've bitten your lip or tongue and are bleeding, you should clean the area gently and use a cold compress. Contact your dental office or local hospital.

4. If you have broken a tooth, you should rinse your mouth and use a cold compress. Contact your dentist.

5. If you have broken your jaw, you should use a cold compress. Contact your dental office or local hospital.

6. If you have knocked out a tooth, you should hold the crown of the tooth and gently clean the root in water. Do not remove any tissue. Gently put the tooth in its socket or put the tooth in a cup of milk. Contact your dental office or local hospital.

7. If you have something stuck between your teeth, gently use dental floss to remove it. If this doesn't work, contact your dental office.

8. If you have a toothache, rinse your mouth with warm water. Gently floss. If your teeth are sensitive, rub Sensodyne on the tooth with your finger. If this doesn't work, contact your dental office.
